Bamboo and Brass LTD was delighted to participate in the “Tribute to Elise Hall Celebrating Women Saxophonists and Composers Around the World,” presented in 60 international locations. The concert featured five vignettes depicting the life of saxophone pioneer Elise Hall, with playwright and actor Betsy Hanson portraying her. The event showcased saxophone-centric pieces, many of which were composed and arranged by women musicians.
This is a delightful blend of theater and music. When I hear the word educational, I usually want to run screaming; but, this gave me so much new information—and in a fun and engaging way.
